The existing roadway has begun deteriorating in the form of potholes, cracking, and broken edges. Reconstructing the road will improve safety, driving surface, roadway drainage, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities. Mission Street M I S S I O N S T R E E T | K E Y N O . 2 0 1 4 6 South City Limits to Deinhard Lane Construction is anticipated to begin 2027. Design Details The project will include a detached multi-modal pathway along a segment of Mission St. to connect a missing section of North Valley Rail Trail System from southern city limits to a multi-modal pathway at Jacob Street. Other Improvements will include: New 10' wide pathways will be constructed from South City Limits to Jacob Street. M I S S I O N S T R E E T | K E Y N O . 2 0 1 4 6 Mission Street will be rehabilitated and repaved throughout the length of the project. 4' bicycle lanes will be constructed from Jacob Street to Deinhard Lane. Improve entrance to future Riverfront Park. Construct roadside swales to help with stormwater conveyance, snow storage capacity, and access management. Project Location & Limits M I S S I O N S T R E E T | K E Y N O . 2 0 1 4 6 Located on Mission Street from South City Limits (just south of Smokejumper Base) to Deinhard Lane. The length of the project is approximately 0.6 miles. Generally, the road runs south-north between the North Fork Payette River and SH-55, west of the City of McCall Airport. Vicinity Map Construct new 10’ wide paved pathway from South City Limits to Jacob Street. This will connect the missing link in the North Valley Rail Trail system. Primary Improvements & Impacts Rehabilitate and repave Mission Street throughout length of project. Construct 4’ wide bicycle lanes from Jacob Street to Deinhard Lane. M I S S I O N S T R E E T | K E Y N O . 2 0 1 4 6 Improvements: Impacts: Mission Street and business access will remain open throughout construction. Construction traffic to be closed in one direction. Flaggers and temporary signals are anticipated to control construction traffic. Construct roadside swales to help with stormwater conveyance, snow storage capacity, and access management. Reduced access points to properties along Mission Street. Project Funding This project is funded through Idaho Transportation Department Reimbursable Agreement with Local Match as part of STP Rural Federal Aid Program, administered by Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC). The City's share of the project is utilizing funds gained through the Local Option Tax (LOT).
