AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH `

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
S Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
:. directed to execute an agreement with The Greater Lake of the Ozark
r Convention and Visitor Bureau, Inc. , for a portion of the costs in
the preparation of an Air Service Demand Analysis and Travel Agent
Survey for a sum not to exceed $10, 000.
`< Section 2. The agreement shall be substantially the same in
form and content as that agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
x from and after the date of its passage and approval.

AGREEMENT
This Agreement, made and entered into this day of
1990, by and between the City of Jefferson, Missouri, `
munici al corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City", and
he Greater Lake of the Ozark Convention and Visitor Bureau, Inc. ,
hereinafter referred as the "Bureau".
WHEREAS, the City and the Bureau desire to improve air '
transportation to the mid-Missouri area, and
WHEREAS, a study is needed to determine the potential demand r
for air service to the area, and
WHEREAS, both Jefferson City and the Lake Ozark region will
benefit from the study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AGREED as follows: ,fix
1. The City shall enter into an agreement with Bucher,
Willis, and Ratliff, Consulting Engineers, to prepare a planning
study to determine the air service demand for an approximate 50 } '
mile radius of Jefferson City. The City's Director of
Transportation and a representative from the Bureau shall mutually "
approve scope of work including tasks and/or phases of the Bucher
proposal to be completed.
2 . Initial funding of this study and consultant fees shall '
be $30, 000, with the City' s share to be two-thirds (2/3) not to r)
exceed $20, 000, and the Bureau's share to be one-third (1/3) not
to exceed $10, 000. The Bureau shall pay to the City $10,000 before
the City enters into an agreement with the consultant, and the
execution of an agreement with the consultant is contingent on the
receipt of said $10,000. In the event that less than $30,000 is
expended, the Bureau's $10, 000 will be proportionately refunded in
the same one-third (1/3) percentage to which they contributed to
the survey.
3 . Any change in the scope of the consultant's services, or
any additional directions or changes to the consultant shall be in
writing and mutually agreed to by the City's Director of
Transportation and a representative from the Bureau.
