AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH ROBINSON 'S CLEANERS FOR CLEANING OF UNIFORMS FOR SPECIFIED CITY DEPARTMENTS. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement with Robinson's Cleaners for cleaning of uniforms for specified City departments. The amount of the contract shall not exceed $18, 317. 00. Section 2 . The agreement shall be substantially the same in form and content as that agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A. Vy Section 3 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval. Scope of Services • The scope of services for cleaning `' ' R: services for City employees ' uniforms shall consist of the q:. following: ' a. Police Department uniforms, 401 Monroe Street `µ (1) Service will be provided three times per week with pick up at the Police Station, 401 Monroe Street. '"A v (2) Clothes to be delivered on a rack with hangers. Emergency pick-up will be provided. tr, (4) Uniforms will be given military pleats. (5) Uniforms to be returned within two working days ` after pick-up. b. Planning & Code Enforcement (Animal Control Division) , 919 East Miller Street ., (1) Employees will bring clothing to Contractor's place of business, and will pick up clothing at place of 4; business. } (2) Clothes to be available within two working days '{ after employee leaves them with ccntractor. C. Department of Transportation (Parking Division) , 201 ' Madison Street. (1) Service will be provided two times per week with pick-up at 201 Madison Street. r; 2) Clothes to be returned within two working days ,N after pick-up. a (3) Uniforms will be given military pleats. d. Transit Division, 820 East Miller Street. This contract shall be in effect from September 11, 1990 through September 10 , 1991 3 . Contract Amount. The amount of the contract shall be $18, 317 .00 • 4 . Payment. Payment shall be made to Contractor by City upon f : ? submission of an itemized statement following completion of the project. 5. Indemnity. Contractor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless `* the City for any and all damages, injuries, actions, costs, tl+y ,y,{ attorneys fees and other expenses whatsoever arising out of the P erformance of said work whether the property or persons damaged rn are the servants and employees of the Contractor or third parties in no manner connected with said work. �� 6. Insurance. Contractor agrees to obtain and maintain : •, v 1 ! throughout the term of this contract ; }•_.Y; A. Workmen's Compensation Insurance for all of its employees to be engaged in work under this contract. 8.
