AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY AMENDING CHAPTER 35 (THE
ZONING CODE) AS FOLLOW:
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is
hereby amended by amending of Chapter 35 (The Zoning Code) as
follows:
a) Section 35-31 Definitions, shall be amended by the
addition of the following:
Substance Abuse Treatment Facility. Structures and land used
for the inpatient or outpatient treatment of alcohol or other
f. drug abuse.
� j. b) Section 35-20, District Regulations, shall be amended by
the addition of the following:
(6) RA-2 Residential District

� - Conditional Uses:
Substance Abuse Treatment Facility which meets all of the
following conditions:
The exterior appearance of the facility shall be in
reasonable conformance with the exterior appearance
of other structures in the immediate vicinity.
2. A substance abuse treatment facility shall not be
located closer than 400 feet to any other substance
abuse treatment facility.
3. The applicant for the Conditional Use Permit has
provided evidence he has provided written
notification of the proposed placement of the
.`r facility to all owners of property located within
one hundred eighty-five feet of the boundaries of
the property on which the treatment facility is to
be located.
Conditions as authorized by Section 35-80(4) a.2 . * may
also be imposed by the Board of Adjustment.

Section 35-71, PUD - Planned Unit Development District;, shall
be amended by repealing Subsection (a) (2) and enacting a new (a)
5, (2) which shall read as follows:
f : (2) Permissive Uses - Land and buildings in a Planned Unit

conditions specified in Section 31-20 (a) (3) Permissive

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
