AMENDMENT TO EXTEND FIRE PROTECTION AGREEMENT PERIOD
WHEREAS, Missouri, a municipal corporation hereinafter

designated "City", entered into an Agreement with the Adjutant General of Missouri,
for the Missouri National Guard Algoa Training Site, Jefferson City, Missouri, ,
hereinafter referred to as "Guard", on May 7, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement was for the provision of fire protection services by the

City of Jefferson at the Algoa Training Site; and
WHEREAS, both parties are desirous of continuing with the fire protection services.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it agreed as follows:

and the Adjutant General of Missouri, for the Missouri National Guard Algoa .`,
Training Site, Jefferson !City, Missouri, 65101, hereinafter referred to as "Guard".
1. The City agrees to furnish men and equipment as deemed appropriate
by the
City to answer calls from and provide fire

suppression for the Guard. This fire protection to be furnished under

2. The City will accomplish adequate prefire planning to assure that

response will be timely and effective as determined by the City. This

location map and facility orientation visits. r
3. The Guard Facilities Management Office will support . '►

actions with maps and survey assistance. x
4. The Guard (FMD) will provide, install, inspect and maintain fire t

extinguishers throughout the site.
5. The Guard FMD will make available to the City area and facilities for
fire training activities. ?,
6. Each party waives all claims against the other party(s)for compensation
for any loss damage personal injury or death occurring as a
consequence of the performance of this agreement.

7. The Adjutant General/Missouri National Guard agrees to pay the City
$3,000.00 per annum for these services, payable monthly. First
payment due June 1, 1991. In addition, a charge of$60.00 per unit per

8. This agreement is effective June 1, 1991, through May 31, 1992.
9. This agreement is subject to review and renegotiation whenever there

10. This agreement will remain in force during the period stated unless
terminated at the request of either party after thirty (30) days notice in
writing. To the extent that this agreement is so terminated, the
Missouri National Guard will be liable only for payment in accordance
with provisions of this agreement for service required prior to the
effective date of termination.
11. The Guard, by written notice, may terminate this agreement, in whole
or in part, when it is in the best interest of the State of Missouri. Cost
not due the City will be retained by the Federal Government.
