VACATING AND
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ,
DISCONTINUING THE RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR A PORTION OF FOURTH STREET
IN NORTH JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI.
WHEREAS,it has been shown to the Council of the City of Jefferson,Missouri, {

that the owners of land adjacent to and abutting upon Fourth Street in North xk a
Jefferson City, have petitioned the City Council to vacate right-of-way; and Y
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the

particularly described as follows:

Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot 1 of Block 1 of C.W. Samuel's r
r Addition to the Town of Cedar City, Missouri; thence S85°24'20" E, along the
southerly line of Lot Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of said Block 2, 270.00 feet to the
,} southeasterly corner of said Lot 5, 17.77 feet; thence N89°,18'03" W, 271.56
feet to a point on the westerly line of the southerly extension of the westerly
line of said Lot 1; thence N07'30'00" E. along the southerly extension of the
westerly line of said Lot 1, Block 1, 36.25 feet to the point of beginning.
Section 2. All of that portion of the above vacated property is hereby retained

utility facilities, and no permanent buildings or structures shall be located within or
upon said easement without the prior written consent of the City.
Section 3. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting
3..q property is hereby confirmed, as is provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, and
the Mayor and the Clerk of the City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary
instruments required to confirm the reversionary rights of the owners of property
' abutting on the area vacated, as described in Section 1 of this ordinance,in the right-

of-way vacated, subject to the reservation set out in Section 2.
. i, Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its passage.
