AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,MISSOURI, BY REPEALING CHAPTER 12,
ELECTIONS SECTION 36, 3YARDS
9 AND ENACTING A NEW SECTION 36 IN
LIEU THEREOF. ti

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
V
Section 1. The Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is amended by repealing
Section 12-36, Wards and enacting a new section in lieu thereof:
Sec. 12-36. Wards.
A. The city is hereby divided into five (5) wards, which shall be named the
First Ward, the Second Ward, the Third Ward, the Fourth Ward, and Fifth Ward
respectively.
B. The First Ward shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning in the center of the Missouri River at a point on the northerly
extension of the westerly line of Private Survey #2680 which is a point on the
corporate limits as defined in Section 1-17; thence along and with said corporate
limits to the northeasterly right-of-way line of Bald Hill Road; thence northwesterly
along said right-of-way line to the southerlymost comer of Bird Haven Addition, Plat
Book 4,Page 12, Cole County Recorder's Office which is also the westerlymost comer
of property owned by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Plat Book 4, Page 72, Cole
County Recorder's Office; thence northeasterly along the Missouri State Highway
Patrol property line to its intersection with the southerly right-of-way line of U.S.
Route 50; thence northwesterly along the southerly right-of-way line of U.S. Route
50 to the centerline of Jackson Street; thence northerly along the centerline of
Jackson Street to the.centerline of East Capitol Avenue; thence easterly along the
centerline of East Capitol Avenue to the centerline of Lafayette Street; thence
northerly along the centerline of Lafayette Street to the centerline of East State
Street; thence easterly along the easterly extension of the centerline of East State
Street to the point of intersection of the easterly extension of the centerline of East
State Street with the northerly extension of the centerline of Cherry Street; thence
northerly along the northerly extension of the centerline of Cherry Street to the
center of the Missouri River; thence southeasterly along the center of the Missouri
River to the point of beginning.
