AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE ,
CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY AMENDING CHAPTER
24POLICE, AS IT PERTAINS TO CERTIFICATION. '
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
5 Section 1. The Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby amended
x by deleting Section 26-136, Certification, of Chapter 26, Police, and enacting a new -
' section in lieu thereof to,read as follows: j
Sec. 26-136. Certification. x
Police officers employed by the City shall be required to complete a
basic training course consisting of a minimum of six hundred (600) hours of
instruction from an academy certified by the Missouri Department of Public
Safety for purposes of certification. Reserve officqF shall be required to
complete a basic training course consisting of a minimum of one hundred
twenty (120) hours of instruction from an academy certified by the Missouri

Department of Public Safety for purposes of certification.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage and approval.
