AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING THE
' NAME OF A STREET FROM SCENIC COURT TO SCHAEFER COURT.

t WHEREAS, Schaefer Bros. Construction, Incorporated, and its owaiers, k
James Schaefer, Charlie Schaefer, Rose Schaefer and Helen Schaefer, have in the
' past decades constructed numerous homes and buildings in and around the '
;. Jefferson City area; and
WHEREAS, their improvements have added significantly to the beauty and
quality of Jefferson City; and ,
WHEREAS, individually they have, through their diligence, hard work and
u honesty, been a model for the citizens of Jefferson City; and
WHEREAS, Jim Schaefer suddenly passed away on January 24, 1991, to
the sorrow of all who knew him; and his family, friends and neighbors miss him
greatly; and
WHEREAS, the surviving owners of Schaefer Bros. Construction,
Incorporated, have continued the tradition of quality which preceded James
Schaefer's death; and
WHEREAS, there exists a street in the area principally developed by
Schaefer Bros. Construction, Incorporated, and the residents have consented and
agreed to have the name of Scenic Court changed to Schaefer Court.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The name of the public street known as Scenic Court is
hereby changed to Schaefer Court.
SECTION 2. Upon the passage and approval of this ordinance, the City
Clerk shall file a certified copy thereof with the Recorder of Deeds of Cole County,
Missouri.
