A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND AEL TO PROVIDE
MATERIALS AND GEOTECHNICAL INSPECTION AND TESTING FOR THE
CITY HALL ANNEX (67.011)
WHEREAS, on August 22, 2016, staff released a Request for Proposals
(RFP) from qualified firms to provide materials and geotechnical inspection and
testing for the City Hall Annex; and
WHEREAS, the RFP was advertised and the City Clerk's Office received
16 proposals; and
WHEREAS, AEL was determined to be qualified, providing competitive
pricing and the best value for the services.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. That the City Council approves the award of contract to AEL for
the price of $47,660 to provide geotechnical and materials testing and inspection
for the City Hall Annex and to allow for an additional contingency amount of
$7,000.
Section 2. That the City Council authorize the Mayor to execute the
Agreement in a form approved by the City Attorney attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager to approve
up to 10% of the contract price for additional services.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City
Council Resolution.
