AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY AMENDING SECTIONS
2-50 and 2-51 OF CHAPTER 2 AS IT PERTAINS TO THE CITY COUNCIL.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
s ' MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby amended
by amending Sections 2-50 and 2-51 of Chapter 2 to read as follows:
Sec. 2-50. Duty to flee-end be recognized before proceeding to speak.
When a member wishes to speak, the member shall rise but shall not
proceed with any remarks until recognized and named by the chair.
Once recognized, the member may speak from either a standing or
sitting position.

When two (2) or more members seek recognition at the same time, eheA

first, the other rising member, or members, having preference next to speak.
Once the member knows that he has acknowledgement from the chair, the
member may be seated and then wait to be called.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage and approval.
