AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH MOTT MACDONALD —
2021 -22 SEWER SYSTEM OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering services with regard
to the 2021 -22 Sower System Operations and Maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineers, Mott MacDonald, possess the requisite skill
and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Mott MacDonald has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering services at a
total cost of $4,546.50 per month for 12 months starting 1/1121; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose. Account# 1- 05 -55- 501 -201
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the proposal from Mott MacDonald for engineering
services related to the 2021 -22 Sewer System Operations and
Maintenance, in a total of $4,546.50 per month for 12 months
starting 1/1/21 billable in accordance with Mott MacDonald's
existing contract with the Borough is hereby approved.
2. That annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
3. That this action -is approved as an award of a professional
services contract pursuant to N.J,S.A. 40A :11- 5(l)(a) in
accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as
authorizdd by law.
4. That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department, Mott MacDonald and Borough Director
of Engineering.
