Dear Board Members,
My name is Christy Hovey and I am interested in filling the board seat that is
now available.
I believe and fully understand that vibrant and thriving libraries are extremely
important to the health of communities. I would like the opportunity to assist
you with the growth and goals of the McCall library.
I have owned and operated many thriving businesses, and have sat on
multiple boards, including The Idaho Writers Guild as Secretary and VP
(2013-2019). I was recognized by the Idaho Business Review as one of their
Women of the Year (2014) for my community involvement. I have a strong
desire to serve others and have a heart and a passion for reading and writing.
I am a published author and have written for local magazines including the
Boise Urban Liaison, was the President of the Boise Chapter of National Novel
Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and have conducted writing workshops along with
local Idaho authors, including facilitating The Idaho Writers Conference. I
would like to offer my time and skills to help the McCall Library.
Thank you for all that you do for the community and please let me know how I
can assist you in any capacity. Thank you for considering my request to fill the
open seat and I look forward to connecting with all of you.
