AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING THE FIGHT-OF-WAY FOR A PORTION OF WEATHERED
ROCK DRIVE AND STATE ROUTE B.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the Council of the City of Jefferson,Missouri,
that the owners of land adjacent to and abutting upon Weathered Rock Drive and
State Route B in the City, have petitioned the City Council to vacate right-of-way;
and
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the
public or the citizens of the City to discontinue a portion of the right-of-way of
Weathered Rock Drive and State Route B for public use as described in Section 1 of
this Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the
public or the citizens of the City to discontinue a portion of the right-of-way for public
use as described in Section 1 of this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MI&SOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Sec . The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares it
- necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue as a right-of-way a portion of
F Weathered Rock Drive and State Route B and forever vacate the following described
right-of-way in said City:
Part of Weathered Rock Drive in Millbrook as per plat of record. in Plat Book
8, Page 109, Cole County Recorder's Office, and being in the City of Jefferson,
Cole County, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the westerly line of Tract "D" of Millbrook, said
point being the southeasterly corner of Tract "F of Millbrook; thence
S33°55'40"E, along the westerly line of said Tract "D", 14,93 feet; thence
S25 006'03"W, 29.30 feet; thence S56°04'20"W, 24.88 feet to a.point on the
northerly line of Weathered Rock Drive, said point being on the southerly line

of Tract "F" of Millbrook; thence N25°06'03"E, along the southerly line of said
.` Tract "F", 58.31 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING,
<k Containing 0.01 of an acre.
ALSO, BEGINNING at a point on the westerly line of Tract "D" of Millbrook,
.z; said point being the northeasterly corner of Tract "I" of Millbrook; thence
S87°02'37"W, along the northerly line of said Tract "I", 58.31 feet; thence
1Q56 004'20"E, 24.84 feet; thence N87"02'37"E, 29,32 feet to a point on the
westerly line of Tract"D" of Millbrook; thencta S33°55'40"E, along the westerly
line of paid Tract "D", 14.91 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Containing 0.01 of an acre. '
Section 2, The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting
property is hereby confirmed, as is provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, and
the Mayor and the Clerk of the City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary
instruments required to confirm the reversionary rights of the owners of property
abutting on the area vacated, as described in Section 1 of this ordinance,in the right-
; of-way vacated. \
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after
'its passage.
