AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, DESIGNATING
THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR AS THE OFFICIAL DESIGNATED
REPRESENTATIVE TO THE STATE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
. (SEMA)AND TO THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY(FEMA). ;x
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section. 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares that
the City Administrator of the City of Jefferson shall be designated as the official
representative to the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) an d
to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the purpose of obtaining
. Federal/State financial assistance under the Disaster Relief Act (P.L. 93-288, as Y ,
amended) or otherwise available from the President's Disaster Relief Fund and `r
RSMo, Chapter 44. 4 ,
Section 2. The City of Jefferson, a public entity established under the laws of
' the State of Missouri, hereby authorizes its representative to provide to the State
->� Emergency Management Agency(SEMA)and to the Federal Emergency Management
Agency(FEMA) for all matters pertaining to such disaster assistance the assurances,
a application and all other necessary documentation.
} Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage and approval.
