ORDINANCE NO. 11961
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING THE NAME
OF A STREET FROM EAST MIDDLE SCHOOL DRIVE TO LEWIS AND CLARK DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the Jefferson City Public School District has named the East Middle
School Lewis and Clark Middle School; and
WHEREAS, the Lewis and Clark Middle School is located on a street named by the
plat as East Middle School Drive; and
WHEREAS, the plat was approved by Ordinance No. 11711; and
WHEREAS, the plat has not been recorded; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson City Public School District has requested that the street
name correspond with the name of the school.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
k JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The name of the public street known as East Middle School Drive is
hereby changed to Lewis and Clark Drive.

SECTION 2. Upon the passage and approval of this ordinance, the City Clerk shall
file a certified copy thereof with the Recorder of Deeds of Cole County, Missouri.
SECTION 3. The original plat shall be corrected prior to recording with Recorder of
Deeds to reflect the street name change.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
