CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT A TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN (T.C.P.) TO THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR APPROVAL A MINIMUM OF 10 DAYS PRIOR TO ANY WORK WITHIN AN EXISTING PUBLIC STREET, PEDESTRIAN PATH OR BICYCLE PATH. THE PLAN SHALL BE SIGNED BY A LICENSED CIVIL OR TRAFFIC ENGINEER WHEN IT INVOLVES AN LOCAL STREET. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY TRAFFIC CONTROL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LATEST EDITION OF THE "CALIFORNIA MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES" WHILE WORKING WITHIN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE METHODS, MEANS, AND FACILITIES REQUIRED TO PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF SOIL, WATER, OR ATMOSPHERE BY DISCHARGE OF NOXIOUS SUBSTANCES FROM CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS. 6.
