ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, DECLARING REAL PROPERTY
TO BE SURPLUS. AUTHORIZING ITS SALE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK
TO EXECUTE A DEED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council finds that the following real property
is surplus property of the City, and as such represents a burdensome cost,
and that the property is no longer needed for any public purpose:
Part of Inlot 347 in the City of Jefferson, County of Cole, Missouri,
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southeasterly corner of said Inlot 347; thence
N 470 36' 35" 11, along the southerly line of said Inlot, 0.42 feet;
thence N 410 50' 25" E, parallel to the easterly line of said Inlot
347, 49.687 feet; thence S 470 36' 36" E, 0.42 feet to the easterly
line of said Inlot 347; thence S 410 50' 25 11 ,W, along the easterly
line of said Inlot 347, 49.687 feet to the p'ont of beginning.
Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sell
the property to the First United Methodist Church for the sum of One
Aim Dollar and No Cents ($1.00)
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute
a warranty deed relinquishing all of the City's interest in the tract of
ground described in Section 1. Said deed shall be substantially the same
in form and content as the deed attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.

GENERAL WARRANTY DEED
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, a Municipal Corporation of the State of Missouri, First
Party, in consideration of One Dollar ($1.00) and other good and
valuable consideration, to it paid by First United Methodist
Church of Jefferson City, Missouri, a Missouri not-for-profit
Corporation, Second Party (Mailing address: 201 Monroe Street,
Jefferson City, Missouri 65101) , receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, and by virtue and in pursuance of an Ordinance of
the City Council of First Party, does, by these presents, GRANT,
BARGAIN, SELL, CONVEY AND CONFIRM unto Second Party, its successors
Ask and assigns, the following real property lying, being and situate
in Cole County, Missouri, to-wit:
Part of Inlot 347 in the City of Jefferson, County of
Cole, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southeasterly corner of said Inlot
347; thence N 471 36 ' 35" W, along the southerly line of
said Inlot, 0.42 feet; thence N 41° 50' 25" E, parallel to
the easterly line of said Inlot 347, 49.687 feet; thence S
47° 36' 36" E, 0. 42 feet to the easterly line of said Inlot
347; thence S 41° 50 ' 25" W, along the easterly line of said
Inlot 347, 49. 687 feet to the point of beginning.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the premises aforesaid, with all and
singular the rights, privileges, appurtenances and immunities
thereto belonging, or in anywise appertaining unto the said
Second Party, and unto its successors and assigns forever, First
Party hereby covenanting that it is lawfully seized of an
indefeasible estate in fee in the premises herein conveyed, that
it has good right to convey the same, that the said premises are
free and clear of any encumbrance done or suffered by it or those
under whom it claims , and that it will Warrant and Defend the
title of the said premises unto the said Second Party, and unto
its successors and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and
demands of all persons whomsoever.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, The City of Jefferson, Missouri, the
said First Party, has caused these presents to be signed by its
Mayor and attested by its Clerk, and its corporate seal to be

appeared George Hartsfield, to me known to be the Mayor of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, and the person described in and who
executed the foregoing instrument, and who, being by me duly
sworn, did say that the Seal affixed hereto is the corporate seal
of said municipal corporation, that said instrument was signed
and sealed in behalf of said municipal corporation by authority
of an Ordinance of the City Council of said municipal corporation,
and that said instrument is the free act and deed of said municipal
corporation.
