March 14, 1989

Craig Jackson was reported absent at a Superintendents Association
meeting.
Minutes: The minutes of the February 11, 1989 meeting were, without
objection, filed by the order of the chair.
Dave Engen Term: The chair inquired about Mr. Engens reappointment.
Staff will report back.
Old Business:
A. Fundraising RFP: It was suggested that a goal of
$200,000.00 (net) be added to the RFP and that it be
advertised once in the Star News and twice in the Statesman.
A motion to effect these changes was made by Hormaechea,
seconded by McCarty and carried.
B. Clubhouse Liquor License Bill: The committee reviewed the
matter at Mayor Allen's request and took no action. The
chair agreed to report to the Mayor on the discussion.
New Business:
A. Annual Marketing Plan: Mr. Drips presented his annual
marketing plan, required by terms of his agreement
(attached).
A motion by Williamson to recommend to the Council that the
marketing plan be accepted. Discussion followed.
Hormaechea mentioned that due to the number of six-somes
during the McCall two -man best ball, the pace of play was
too slow. Drips stated that he would personally marshal
during this tournament to ensure that the pace of play was
picked up. The motion was seconded by McCarty and carried.
Further discussion resulted in the chair directing that a
review of the rules be scheduled for the next meeting. That
will involve: children on the course rules, rules and
marshaling to reduce slow play, marshaling during
tournaments, and compilation of a list of local rules.
B. Contract Amendment, Rehabilitation of Hole No. 3: Laidlaw
presented a contract amendment to prepare plans and
specifications for the work (attached). After review, the
committee voted unanimously on a motion by Williamson,
seconded by Engen, to recommend to the City Council approval
of the contract amendment.
Other Business:
A. Clubhouse: Laidlaw was asked to revise and update the
spread sheet on costs for the 5,040 square foot design.
B. Bond Council: A letter to Attorney Remaklus from bond
counsel was received and costs noted (attached).
C. Grill Duct Fire Extinguishing System: After insurance
company follow-up, the Administrator has requested that Mr.
Jackson proceed to have the extinguisher system installed in
the existing clubhouse. (The City promised that if the new
clubhouse was not under construction in the Spring of 1989,
they would install the apparatus.) This is to be completed
before the facility opens this year. This deficiency was
also noted by an Idaho Department of Labor and Industrial
Services inspector the first week of March.
Without further business, the meeting adjourned.

OF HOLE # 3
AS FOLLOWS;
A) PLOT PLAN AND PRELIMINARY DESIGN- Document existing course
features. Prepare preliminary sprinkler and hole 03 rehabilitation
design. Meet with Golf Course Committee to obtain approval.
Cost $2225
Note: Some survey work will have to be done on hole *3. This will
be a relmburslble expense.
B) CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS- Prepare bid documents for the
rehabilitation of hole *3 and document a preliminary design for a
new 18 hole automatic sprinkler system.
Cost $3600
C) CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION- Construction inspections, on
site meetings, verification of payment requests, and verification
of substantial completion,
1) Expense for each site visit by Irrigation Engineering(Lee Bean)
based on one day trip
Cost $ 550
2) Site visits by McCall Design (Andrew Laidlaw)
Cost $ 50/hr
