ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO A
CONTRACT WITH LEWIS, RICE, TUCKER, ALLEN AND CHUBB FOR THE
PROVISION OF LEGAL SERVICES FOR THE ADDITIONAL SUM OF $25,000.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute an amendment to the contract with Lewis, Rice,
Tucker, Allen and Chubb for the provision of legal services for the
additional sum of $25,000.
Section 2. The amendment to the contract shall be substantially
the same in form and content as that amendment attached hereto as
Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after the date of its passage and approval.

AMENDMENT TO LEGAL SERVICES CONTRACT
This Agreement is made and entered into thiso?A day of 1983,

corporation, hereinafter referred to as "City," and Lewis, Rice,
Tucker, Allen and Chubb, hereinafter referred to as "Attorneys."
The parties agree that the Legal Services Contract, made and entered
into on the 16th day of March, 1983, is hereby amended by
increasing the sum in paragraph 3 by $25,000, so that paragraph 3
shall read as follows:
3. Attorneys will submit to the City a detailed bill each month
itemizing the cost of the services rendered. The City will pay
Attorneys on a monthly basis. Attorneys will notify the City at
any time they anticipate that the total services for any month
will exceed $10,000. The total cost of the services under this
contract shall not exceed $75,000 without the prior written
approval of the City.
