AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING PRIMARY
AND GENERAL ELECTIONS IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON FOR 1984 .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Chapter 115 RSMo. , Municipal Elections
are hereby established as follows :
(a) A Primary Election shall be held Tuesday, February 7, 1984,
if required.
(b) A General Election shall be held Tuesday, April 3, 1984 .
(c) The City Clerk shall notify the County Election Authority
of the candidates for office and election dates .
(d) One member of the City Council from each ward shall be elected
at the General Election on Tuesday, April 3, 1984 .
(e) A Special Election to fill the unexpired term of the City
Attorney shall also be held on Tuesday, April 3, 1984 . The
Special Election shall be conducted as a part of the General
Election. If a Primary Election is needed to fill the unexpired
term of the City Attorney, the Primary Election shall be held
on Tuesday, February 7, 1984 , and shall be conducted as a
part of any other Primary Election to be held on that day.
Section 2 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval. Q
