AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX BILL AGAINST THE LOTS OR TRACTS OF LAND FRONTING AND ABUTTING ON THE ROADWAY OF GIPFERT LANE AND WASHINGTON STREET IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SAID ROADWAY . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS : SECTION 1 . There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate and cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this Ordinance, against the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting on the roadway of Gipfert Lane and Washington Street in the City of Jefferson, Missouri , for the improvement of said roadway, the sum of $6, 056. 25 as the total costs of the improvement of said street and the number of front feet fronting or abutting said roadway, amount to 807 . 50 front feet ; the cost price per front foot is $7 .50 per front foot on property which had existing curb and gutters . SECTION 2. For the purpose of paying said improvement of said roadway, there is hereby levied and assessed the sum of $7 . 50 as a special tax against each front foot of ground fronting or abutting said roadway, and contained in such lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said improved roadway. SECTION 3. The name of each property owner or owners and the description of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting on each side of said roadway and the number of front feet owned by each owner or owners and contained in the lots or tracts of land so owned and abutting said roadway and the cost price per front foot for said improvement and the amount hereby levied and assessed as special tax for said improvement against each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said roadway is listed as follows : Page 2 Phillip L. Prosser , husband and wife , owners of property described as follows : Part of the North half of Section 12 , Township 44 North , Range 12 West , in the City of Jefferson , Missouri , more particularly described as follows : Beginning at a point on the westerly line of the tract of land that John A. Dampf and wife conveyed to Mollie Gipfert , by deed of record in Book 46 , page 103 , Cole County Recorder ' s Office , which point is 270 feet northerly from the southwesterly corner thereof; thence northerly along the said westerly line , 100 feet ; thence easterly parallel with the southerly line of said tract , 150 feet ; thence southerly parallel with the westerly line of said tract , 55 feet to the northeasterly corner of a tract conveyed to Frank Raithel and wife, by deed of record in Book 101 , page 538 , Cole County Recorder ' s Office ; thence westerly to the beginning point of this description. Industries , Inc . , for the within mentioned work in accordance with the ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri , relative to said kind of work in accordance with the Ordinance of said City in regard to said work.
