AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY OF
COLE FOR THE LEASE OF PARKING SPACES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute a contract with the County of Cole for the
lease of parking spaces for the sum of $1, 800.
Section 2. The contract shall be substantially the same in
form and content as that contract attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after thoe� date of its passage and approval.

Dear Ms . Powell:
Enclosed please find two (2 ) copies of the lease agreement
® between the County and the City which was sent to the County
Court for signature on March 6, 1984 . Both leases have been
signed by the County Clerk and the County seal placed on the
signature page(s ) as you requested. Please return a copy of the
finally executed agreement to the attention of Sally Simpson,
Room 208, Cole County Courthouse.

L E A S E
This Lease entered into this day of 19 UP
® by and between the City of Jefferson, Missouri, Lessor, and the County
of Cole, State of Missouri, by and through its agents , the Cole County
Court, Lessee,
WITNESSETH: Lessor does hereby lease to Lessee and Lessee hereby
takes twenty-five (25) unspecified parking spaces on Lot No. Sixteen
( 16) , located at 400 East High Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, and
shall have the right to use the entranceways to the parking lot in common
with the other users of the lot.
SECTION ONE
TERM OF LEASE
The term of this Lease shall begin on February 1, 1984 , at 6:00
A.M. and terminate on January 31, 1985, at 12:00 P.M.
SECTION TWO
RENT
Lessee shall pay as rental to Lessor the sum of one thousand,
eight hundred dollars ( $1, 800. 00 ) which is six dollars ( $6.00 ) per space
per month for twenty-five (25) automobile parking spaces. The sums are
to be payable upon the standard terms used by the parking division of
® Lessor.
SECTION THREE
LESSOR DUTIES
Lessor covenants to keep Lessee in quiet possession and enjoyment
of the parking lot during the term of this Lease. Lessor covenants to
provide all reasonable and necessary parking lot maintenance including
but not limited to snow removal, painting of space markers, and the
posting of information signs , and Lessor also covenants and agrees to
enforce at its expense and with its personnel the parking lot rules
and regulations pertaining to City-owned parking lots .
SECTION FOUR
PARKING PERMITS
Lessor covenants and agrees to provide all necessary permits and
any other necessary documentation to Lessee in order that Lessee may
have full use and enjoyment of its twenty-five ( 25 ) parking spaces .

SECTION SEVEN
SUBLEASE OR ASSIGNMENT
® Lessee hereby covenants and agrees that it shall not sublet in
whole or in part, nor assign or transfer, any interest it may have in
the lease hold without the prior written consent of the Lessor.
