ORDINANCE NO. q
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , VACATING AND
RELINQUISHING CITY RIGHTS TO A PORTION OF BLAIR DRIVE.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the City Council of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, that the owner of the land adjacent to
and abutting upon Blair Drive from a point 370 feet north of
Missouri Boulevard to Williams Street has petitioned the City
Council to vacate the right-of-way as a public street; and
WHEREAS, that portion of Blair Drive does not meet the
standards for a City street; and
WHEREAS, the City has not, and does not, claim any right-of-
way in that portion of Blair Drive; and
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not
inconvenience the public or the citizens of the City to
discontinue as a right-of-way for a public street, or to
otherwise relinquish whatever rights the City may have to that
portion of Blair Drive:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Jefferson hereby
declares it 'necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue
whatever rights the City may have and forever vacate the
following described street:
All that portion of Blair Drive from a point 370 feet north
of Missouri Boulevard to Williams Street.
Section 2. This action is not intended to adversely affect
the rights of any utilities which may presently be located within
the roadway affected by this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
