AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING THE NAME
OF A PORTION OF EAST McCARTY STREET TO ROBINSON ROAD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri adopted
a Resolution on the 21st day of November, 1983, declaring it necessary
to change the name of a portion of East McCarty Street to Robinson
Road; and
WHEREAS, within four weeks from the day of the last publication of
said Resolution, a majority of the resident property owners along
that portion of the street did not file with the City Clerk their
written protest against such change of name; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has the power to change the name of streets,
in accordance with the Resolution referred to herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The name of the street known as East McCarty Street
is hereby changed to Robinson Road from the intersection of East McCarty
and City View Drive to the easterly corporate limits of the City of
Jefferson.
Section 2 . Upon the passage and approval of this Ordinance, the
City Clerk shall file a certified copy thereof with the Recorder of
Deeds of Cole County, Missouri.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
