ORDINANCE NO. /191933
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, LEVYING AND ASSESSING A
SPECIAL TAX BILL AGAINST THE LOTS OR TRACTS OF LAND FRONTING AND ABUTTING
ON KAREN DRIVE IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR THE IMPROVE40T OF
SAID ROADWAY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate and cost
price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this Ordinance, against
the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting on Karen Drive
in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the improvement of said roadway,
the star of $3,732.98 as the property owner's portion of the total costs
for the improvement of 497.73 front feet of said roadway.
Section 2. For the purpose of paying said improvement of said road-
way, there is hereby levied and assessed the sum of $7.50 as a special tax
against each front foot of ground fronting or abutting said roadway, and
contained in such lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said
improved roadway.
Section 3. The name of each property owner or owners and the
description of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting on each
side of said roadway and the number of front feet owned by each owner or
owners and contained in the lots or tracts of land so owned and abutting
said roadway and the cost price per front foot for said improvement and
the amount hereby levied and assessed as special tax for said improvement
against each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said roadway is
listed as follows:

Floyd Jarrett and Dorothy Jarrett, husband and wife, owners of property
described as follows:
Part of Outlot No. 54 of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, described as
follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of Hoefer's Lane, which said point
is 289 feet northerly of the intersection of the south line of Outlot No.
54 and the east line of Hoefer's Lane; thence northerly from said point of
beginning along the easterly line of Hoefer's Lane, a distance of 105 feet
to the intersection of the east line of Hoefer's Lane with the south line
of a ten-foot lane, known as Dawson's Lane; thence south 59 degrees east
along the south line of Dawson's Lane, a distance of 184.9 feet; thence
south parallel with Hoefer's Lane, 12.1 feet; thence westerly in a
straight line 151 feet to the point of beginning.
Assessment: 79.9 feet @ $7.50 per foot = $599.25
Clarence Baumhoer and Alice Baumhoer, husband and wife, owners of property
described as follows:
Part of Outlot No. 54, in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, more
particularly described as follows:
From the northwesterly corner of Outlot No. 52; thence southeasterly along
the northerly line of said Outlot No. 52, 164 feet to the southeasterly
corner of Water Street and Riverside Drive (formerly known as Hoefer
Lane); thence south 4 degrees east along the easterly line of said
Riverside Drive, 763.43 feet to the southwesterly corner of a tract
conveyed to Leonard J. Telln-en and wife, by deed of record in Book 130,
page 244, Cole County Recorder's Office, and the beginning point of this
description; thence north 86 degrees east, along the southerly line of
said Tellman tract, 125 feet to the westerly line of Lot No. 11 of
Butzer's Subdivision, per plat of record in Plat Book 6, page 23, Cole
County Recorder's Office; thence south 4 degrees east along the westerly
line of Lot Nos. 11 and 12 of said Butzer's Subdivision to the northerly
line of Karen Drive; thence northwesterly along the northerly line of
Karen Drive, 145.5 feet to the easterly line of said Riverside Drive;
thence north 4 degrees west along the easterly line of said Riverside
Drive, 45.54 feet, more or less, to the beginning point of this
description.
Assessment: 99.86 feet @$7.50 per foot = $748.95

Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to make out
special tax bills in favnr of the Contracter, J. C. Industries, Inc.,
Jefferson City, Missouri, for the within-mentioned work in accordance with
the ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, relative to said kind
of work in accordance with the Ordinance of said City in regard to said
work. .
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its passage and approval.
