AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING
SECTIONS 29-60(a) AND 18-58(a) BY AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF
A COUNCIL MEMBER AS A VOTING MEMBER OF THE AIRPORT COMMISSION AND
THE PARKING AND TRAFFIC COMMISSION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 29-60(a) of the City Code is hereby
amended by authorizing the appointment of a Council member as a
voting member of the Airport Commission. Section 29-60(a) shall
read as follows :
Section 29-60( a) .
(a) The airport commission shall consist of eleven ( 11 )
members . Of the eleven ( 11 ) members :
( 1) Three ( 3 ) shall be ex officio members without a
vote. These shall be:
a. The director of transportation,
b. The director of public works or his delegate,
c. The representative from the appropriate state
agency.
( 2 ) Seven ( 7) shall be residents of the city, and at
least one of these members shall be an FAA
qualified and duly licensed pilot.
( 3 ) One shall be a city council member, who shall be a
voting member. Another council member may be
appointed as an alternate, and shall attend at
will and replace the primary member in his ab-
sence.
Section 2. Section 18-58(a) of the City Code is hereby
amended by authorizing the appointment of a council member as a
voting member of the Parking and Traffic Commission. Section 18-
58(a) shall read as follows :
Section 18-58(a) .
(a) The parking and traffic commission shall consist of
eleven ( 11 ) members . of the eleven ( 11) members :
( 1 ) Three ( 3 ) shall be ex officio members without a
vote. These shall be:
a. Director of transportation;
b. Director of public works or his delegate;
c. Chief of police or his delegate.
( 2 ) Six ( 6) shall be regular members, who are
® residents of the city.
( 3 ) One shall be a council member, who shall be a
voting member.
(4 ) One shall be an alternate to serve in the absence
of a regular member. The alternate shall also be a
resident of the city.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
