ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING A DATE
FOR AN ELECTION TO DETERMINE WHETHER A COMMISSION SHOULD BE CHOSEN TO
FRAME A CHARTER, AND TO SELECT THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A City election shall be held on Tuesday, February
5, 1985 on the following question:
QUESTION
Shall a commission be chosen to frame a charter?
Section 2. The election ordered in Section 1 shall also
determine the membership of the commission in accordance with the
terms of Article VI, §19 of the Missouri Constitution.
Section 3. Candidates for the commission may file their peti-
tions until 5:00 P.M. , December 4, 1984.
AML Section 4 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval. p
