ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CLERK TO ACCEPT AN AMENDED GRANT FROM THE MISSOURI
HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING
THE OPERATION OF A PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson, Missouri, has received
approval on a grant amendment application under Section 18 of the
Urban Mass Transportation Act.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to
accept the amended grant in the sum of $132, 786.65 from the
Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, said grant
Amendment No. 1, Project MO-18-X001 to be substantially the same
in form and content as that document attached hereto and made a
part hereof by reference.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.

Dear Mayor Hartsfield:
We are in a position to undertake further processing of your
request for increased funding under Section .18 of the Urban
Mass Transportation Act of. 1964, as amended. The federal
share of this project- is $132, 786 .'65 with the project .period
remaining November 1,'. 19.81 to October .31,,' 1982. This revision
supersedes the amount of .$.117,260 which was approved to cover
operating costs during the same period of time.
We request that you enact a new ordinance designating an appro-
priate official to .execute the attached amendments which
reflect the new federal total. Please return all three copies
and the new ordinance to this Department as soon as possible
so we may further process your request.

AMENDMENT NO. I
WHEREAS, the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission and the

city of Jefferson City, Missouri, entered into an agreement dated December 4,
1981 to operate a public transportation project funded pursuant to Section 18
of the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as amended.
NOW THEREFORE, said agreement is hereby amended as follows:
1. Article 15, Reimbursement, shall be amended to read:
The Commission, using funds made available to it
from the grant made to it by the U. S. Department
of Transportation, shall reimburse Grantee for 50%
of the Net Operating'Cost, PROVIDED, HOWEVER, in no
event shall the total amount reimbursed by the
Commission hereunder exceed the maximum federal share
of $132,786.65.
2. The agreement between the parties hereto dated
December 4, 1981 shall remain in full force and
effect except as amended hereby.

AMENDMENT NO. 1

city of Jefferson City, Missouri, entered into an agreement dated December 4,
