AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH LINDA EYERMAN FOR
A FIBER ART WALL HANGING FOR THE JOHN G. CHRISTY MUNICIPAL
BUILDING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute a contract with Linda Eyerman for a fiber art
wall hanging for the Council Chambers of the .john G. Christy
Municipal Building.
SECTION 2 . The contract shall be substantially the same in
form and content as that contract attached hereto as Exhibit A.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.

AGREEMENT
Thi Agreement is made and entered into this l U�' _day of
�� t./ �, l� , by and between the City of Jefferson,
a muicipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City" ,
and Linda Eyerman, hereinafter referred to as "Artist. "
For the considerations expressed herein, it is agreed by and
between the City and the Artist as follows:
1. The Artist shall prepare two fiber art wall hangings for the
City. The fiber art shall consist of two rectangular panels to
be a total size of 4 °4" x 13 ' and shall be made of hooked wool
on a grid system using wire supports so they will hang evenly.
The reverse sides are to be painted for added protection. The
design is to be a topographical map of the City and the surrounding
area as approved by a final color sketch submission.
2. The City will pay a total of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00)
to the Artist. The payment will be made as follows:
One-third (1/3) payable to Artist upon receipt by
Artist of a letter from the Mayor giving notice to
proceed with the project;
One-sixth (1/6) payable to Artist upon her receipt
of written approval by City of final color sketch;
and, .
The balance upon completion of artwork and delivery
of same to the City.
3. Artist will deliver the artwork to the City at the City Hall
at no cost to the City. City will pay costs of installation.
4 . The copyright on the finished artwork shall be the property
of the City.
S. The parties agree that a reasonable period of time within
which to complete the project is one year from payment of initial
installment to Artist.
6. The artist is not authorized by the City to expend any funds
for this project, nor will the City be responsible for or pay any
funds, until the Mayor has executed an official letter giving the
Prtist notice to proceed upon collection of the total contributions
necessary for this contract.
