ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, DECLARING
CERTAIN PROPERTY TO BE SURPLUS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE TWO CONTRACTS WITH THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
FOR THE SALE OF BLACKTOP MILLINGS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSO'(.TRI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri
hereby declares 1, 500 tons of blacktop millings to be surplus
property.
Section 2. The Mayor. and Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute two contracts with the Housing Authority of
the City of Jefferson, Missouri for the sale of a total of 1,500
tons of blacktop millings for a total sum of $15,000.
Section 3. The contracts shall be substantially the same in
form and content as those contracts attached hereto as Exhibits A
and B.
Section 4 . This Ordinance shall be in full. force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

Dear Mr . Hamburg:
The Housing Authority plans to build a trail around and through
the East Miller Street Park. The blacktop millings stockpiled
at the location would make excellent base for the trail and
we are willing to pay $10,00 per ton for the estimated 700 tons
and a check for $7 , 000 is enclosed. If you are able to accept
this offer , please sign below and return one signed copy for
our records .

We have determined that the blacktop millings stockpiled on
on East Miller will be inadequate, The Street Department has
another stockpile containing 800 yards on West McCarty near
Wears Creek. We are willin� to pay $10. 00 per yard for this
material and our check for ,,5,000 is enclosed. If this offer
is acceptable please sign below and return one signed copy
for our files .
