ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CI'T'Y OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH COLUMBIA
ELECTRONICS FOR THE REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF RADIO COMMUNICATION
EQUIPMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute a, contract with Columbia Electronics for the
repair and maintenance of radio communication equipment.
Section 2. The contract shall be substantially the same in
form and content as that contract attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

SERVICE CONTRACT
+ This Contract is made and entered into this 5th day of
November 19 34, by and between the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as
"City", and Columbia Electronics, hereinafter referred to as
"Contractor" .
In consideration of -t:he covenants and agreements hereinafter
set forth, it is agreed as follows:
1. This contract will be in effect for one full year from
November 5, 19334 to November 4, 1955. With mutual consent of both
parties, the .Contract may be extended on sn annual basis for up to
trwo (2) additional years to a maximum of three years from November
5, 1984.
2. The City will pay the following rates for labor for radio
communication repairs, whether performed in shop or in the field: .
a. Straight time at $30.00 per hour
b. ' Overtime at $30.00 per hour
c. Sundays and holidays at $30.00 per hour
All labor will be billed to the nearest one-tenth hour (one-tenth
hour minimum) .
3. Contractor is required to have pickup and delivery services
.available. The pickup and delivery charge will be the same as the
labor rates . Since most repairs under this contract are of an emer-
gency mature, Contractor will be required to respond within a two
(2) hour period. The Contractor shall have qualified persons on

duty twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week.
4. Parts and materials will be furnished at manufacturer's
recommended prices and no mark-up percentage. If the total cost
of repairs exceeds fifty percent (50%) of the replacement cost
of any radio, descon, or any other major piece of equipment, the
Cmatractor must inform the using department prior to performing
the repairs . The City shall decide on whether to proceed with
repair or purchase new equipment.
5. Contractor will furnish service as requested by all City
employees when a purchase order is referenced. These will be
monthly purchase orders . Contractor will issue monthly statements
accompanied by signed counter tickets. Invoices shall be sent in
triplicate, monthly, to the director of Finance, 320 East McCarty
Street, Jefferson. City, Missouri, 65101. Each invoice must show a
description of the work done, purchase order number, labor time,
list price of materials and/or parts at manufacturer':s suggested
list price, the using department, and other information that is
pertinent to each repair.
6. All repairs and service shall be guaranteed to be 6f the

highest quality and warranted for a period of one (1) year for
berth parts and labor. All work will be done to the 'radio wanu-' ..
factures"s. $pecifieations . In the event that the repair services
are .found, to be defective, the City reserves the right to make the
necessary repairs elsewhere, however, the Contractor will be respon-
sible for those additional charges. If the Contractor fails to
render prompt services, the City may terminate the contract and wi1,�,
be liable only for those services authorized by the City and already
performed by the Contractor.

7. The Contractor shall furnish certificates of the types- of
r insurance indicated below. The City must be specifically named as
an additional insured under the policies for the purpose of this
