ORDINANCE NO. /63
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING
PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON FOR 1985.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Chapter 115 RSMo. , Municipal
Elections are hereby established as follows :
(a) A Primary Election shall be held Tuesday, February 5,
1985, if required.
(b) A Genera]. Election shall be held Tuesday, April 2,
1985 .
(c) The City Clerk shall notify the County Election
Authority of the candidates for office and election
dates.
(d) One member of the City Council from each ward shall be
elected at the General Election on Tuesday, April 2,
1985.
(e) The City Attorney, Municipal Judge, and City Treasurer
shall be elected at the General Election on Tuesday,
April 2, 1985.
Section 2 . Declarations of candidacy for party candidates
and petitions for the nomination of independent candidates must
be filed with the City Clerk between 8: 00 A.M. on Tuesday,
November 20, 1984 and 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 4, 1984 .
Section 3 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and afte/r3 its passage and approval.
