AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH KUSTOM QUALITY
ELECTRONICS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF COMMUNICATION CONTROL
EQUIPMENT AT 401 MONROE STREET.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jefferson
are hereby authorized to execute a contract with Kustom Quality
Electronics for the installation of communication control
equipment at 401 Monroe Street for a sum not to exceed
$53,859.00.
Section 2. The contract shall be substantially the same in
form and content as that contract attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

LAW ENFORCEMENT CONSOLES AGREEMENT
This agreement is made as of the _ day of /"14- 1984
between the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereinafter referred to as "City"
and Kustom Quality Electronics, hereinafter referred to as "Kustom", for
the installation of Communication Control Equipment at 401 Monroe Street,
.Jefferson City, Missouri. The City and Kustom agree as set .forth below.
1. This contract consists of this agreement, the Request for
Bid, Memoranda Number 1 issued in connection with the Re-
quest for Bid, and Kustom's bid submitted in response to
the Request for Bid. These form the contract, and are
fully a part of the contract, and are attached to
this agreement as Exhibit A.
2. Kustom shall furnish all. the necessary cable, wire, hard-
ware, labor and other items for installation of this system.
Kustom shall perform the installation in a workmanlike man-
ner but shall not be responsible for damages to the premises
not resulting from Kustom's negligence. Equipment to be in-
stalled shall be paralleled with the City's existing com-
munication consoles. The equipment supplied must be totally
compatible with present equipment and must not interfere with
present equipment and must not interfere with the operation
of present equipment.
3. Kustom shall complete the installation services with Kustom's
standard installation practices. Kustom shall perform its
standard acceptance testing on the installed equipment and
the City agrees to monitor said testing. Upon successful
completion thereof Kustom shall notify City that equipment
has been installed and operated in accordance with appli-
cable test and performance specifications. The date of such.
notification shall be the Installation Completion Date.
4. The Installation Completion Date and any other performance by
Kustom hereunder shall be subject to delays 'caused'by an Act
of God, war, riot, fire, explosion, accident, flood, saba-
tage, inability to obtain fuel or power, governmental laws,
regulations, or any other event beyond the reasonable con-
trol of Kustom. In the event of any such delay, the date set'
forth herein and the times for performance of any other ob-
ligation hereunder will be extended accordingly for addi-
tional periods of time to cover such periods of delay.
5. The City shall, at its expense, on the date of delivery
of the equipment to City's premises and at all times
thereafter after the period of installation service
hereunder:
A. Allow employees or agents of Kustom free access
to premises or facilities where the equipment is
to be installed at all hours consistent with re-
quirement of the installation.
B. Assure that the premises will meet all temper-
ature, humidity controlled, air conditioned,
and any other environmental requirements set
fort in the applicable Equipment Specifications,
and will be dry and free from dust and in such
condition as not to be injurious to the employees
or agents of Kustom or the equipment to be in-
stalled.
C. Provide necessary openings and ducts for cable
conductors in floors.
D. Provide electric current for any necessary pur-
pose with suitable terminals in rooms where it
is required.
E. Provide installed metallic ground or grounds
as required.
F. Provide conduit system as required by Federal,
State or local codes.
8. The total cost of the required equipment including labor shall
not exceed $53,859.00.
