Councilman Tant moved that all taxes unpaid through the year 1936 be advertised and sold for taxes, Councilman Mayer seconded and the motion passed unanamously. Counculman Haar moved that $50.00 be donated to the Public Library for the purchase if new books, and also that the Board be thanked for permitting the use of the stove in the Town office, Councilman Mayer seconded and the motion passed, those voting "YES "; Farrell, Tant, Haar, May: voting "TOR; Kreitzer. A petition signed by residents and property owners in the vicinity of Campbell Street requesting fire protection, was presented,CC°ouncilman Kreitzer moved that the matter be re- ferred to the Fire and Insurance Committee to investigate the need for and also the cost of same, Councilman Mayer seconded and the motion passed unanamously. A request was made that Pine Street from Maple to Campbell be opened. The Matter was referred to the Streets and Lanes Committee. The matter of having an oystermroast to inaugurate the start of the WP$ beach protection project was discussed and on motion of Councilman Haar that an oyster be given and that the same should notmcost over $50.00, Councilman Mayer seconded and the inotionapassed unanamously. A special meeting bf Council was held to -day at 10:00 A.M. in tl ;e Council Chamber, and was attended by Mayor McMillan, who presided, and Councilmen Haar, "arrell, Tant, Mayer, Harry Lasky and 7.M.LeHardy. The meeting was called for consideration of the following; Purchasing materials for beach protection. Proposition to be submitted by Harry Lasky in connect- ion with removal of old bridge at Lazaretto Creek. Councilman Haar moved that the bid od Morgan's Inc., for a quantity of bolts, nuts and w abhers be accepted for $210.00, they being the lowest bidders, Councilman Farrell seconded and the motion passed unanamously. Councilman Haar moved that the bid of the Warsaw Lumber & Export Co., for furnishing 1900 lft 6x6x14 and other material for $480.88 be accepted they being the lowest bidders, Coun- cilman -ant seconded and the motion passed unanamously. Mr. Harry Lasky offered to give to the Town the entire sub - structure of the oldCRR bridge at Lazaretto Creek provided that the town would remove all of it including the concrete on which the bridge rests. It was decided to have an engineer look into the matter before any decision would be made. Mr. Lasky was bxcused. There being no urther business Council adjourned subject to the call of th yor. The meeting was called for considering the following; Purchase of a quantity of re- inforcing sttel for beach protection. Allowance of discount of d.thscount on delinquent taxes requested by several tax- payers. Councilman Haar moved that the bid MI the Steel Products Co, Tor furnishing 675 pcs 3/4x17'62 'and 675 pcs 3/4x18'3" reinforcing bars,© $2.03 per 100 lbs. be accpeted, they being the lowest bidder, Councilman Mayer seconded and the motion passed unanamously. Councilman Mayer moved that tLe discount of 20% be allowed on 1938 taxes of Tybrisa Company and Mrs G.L.E.Harper, pro- vided that same are paid at once, Councilman Farrell seconded andbthe motion passed unanamously.
