AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH LINCOLN
UNIVERSITY FOR THE TEMPORARY STORAGE AND LIMITED MAINTENANCE OF A
BUS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWSs
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute a contract with Lincoln University for the
temporary storage and limited maintenance of a passenger bus.
Section 2. The contract shall be substantially the same in .
form and content as that contract attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

CONTRACT

hereinafter called the "University, "
and the City o Jefferson, Missouri, a municipal corporation,
hereinafter called the "City. "
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the University has requested the City provide
/
a temporary storage area for a � passenger bus , and
WHEREAS, the University also desires the bus to be fueled
and maintained;
NOW THEREFORE, the parties to this contract agree to the
following:
1. Storage: The City will provide outside storage at the
City's old maintenance facility yard. An electrical outlet will
be provided for a block heater at a cost of Two Hundred Seventy-
Five Dollars ($275. 00) for service hookup. A Ten Dollar ( $10.00 )
per month charge for storage and electric ,sage would also be
made. The University will be responsibile for the block heater
and seeing that the hookup is made.
2. Fuel and Oil: The City will make available fuel and oil
at cost plus fifteen per cent ( 15% ) for overhead. The University
will receive monthly printout of fuel usage. During normal
operating hours , the City will provide access to the fuel island
for the University's driver to fuel and check oil and fluid
levels . Oil and fluids will be provided only when requested.
3. Access: The City will provide the University a gate
key for after hours and weekend access to the .storage lot , solely
for the purpose of parking and removal of the University's bus.
4 . Maintenance: Maintenance will be provided on a priority
basis. City vehicles will have first priority. Maintenance
request must be made by the University in writing by a designated
maintenance liaison. The maintenance cost will be actual parts
cost plus fifteen per cent ( 15%) overhead, and labor cost at
$22:05 per hour.
5. Payments : The University agrees to pay the cost as
outlined in paragraphs 1 thru 3. The City will bill the
University on a monthly basis . The amount of the bill shall be
paid within thirty ( 30) days after the billing date.

6. Term: The term of this contract will be one year

7. Insurance: The University will. provide the City proof
of automotive liability and physical damage insurance on the bus.
8. Indemnity: The University will hold the City harmless
from any damage to the bus while in the City's rare. This
includes, but is not limited to, damage stemming from vandalism,
accident, maintenance procedures. The University will also hold
the City harmless from any or all damage or injuries caused by
negligence of University employees or agents on City property as
a result of this contract.
9, Termination: This Contract may be terminated by either
party by giving thirty days (30) written notice.
