AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SMITH OVERALL
CLEANING COMPANY FOR CLEANING SERVICES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jefferson
are hereby authorized to execute a contract with the Smith
Overall Cleaning Company for cleaning services .
Section 2. The contract shall be substantially the same in
form and content as that contract attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval. /

Enclosed please find two (2) copies of the contract between your
company and the City of Jefferson which was recently approved by
the City Council.. Please obtain signatures on both copies and, if _
a corporation, have them attested by the Secretary and place the
corporate seal on the signature page(s ) and return both copies to
my office. After they are finally executed,_ you will receive a
copy for your files.

CLEMING SERVICES CONTRACT
This Contract is made and entered into this S day of
F-aUf�2�� • __, 1985, by and between the City of Jefferson, Missouri, a
municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "City" and Smith Overall
Cleaning Company, St. Louis, Missouri, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor".
In consideration of the covenants and agreements hereinafter set forth,
it is agreed as follows:
1. This Contract will be in effect for one (1) full year from
Nt Jaatsery 1985, through Tax e�cy idAed t1 1936. With the mutual consent of both
parties, the Contract may t for two (2) additional one year periods.
Increases, if any, may be requested by the contractor and negotiated with the � -
City each year, forty-five (45) days prior to the Contract termination. This
Contract can be terminated at any time by either party by giving the other party
thirty (30) days written notice.
2. Contractor will provide rental, service of clothing, rugs, dust mops,
shop towels, mo-p handles, and frames, frames, fender covers, and roll towels in
accordance with the attached specifications.
3. The City will pay the following rental rates:
Shop Towels - $.05 each
Dust Mops & handles,
24 inch - $ .80 per�' hange
3 inch - $ ,4W per c gge .19
Rags $ .l0 Pei pound`f��`
Unif. rms (5 sets per week) - $ .97 each per change
/L,ei-1G1 3 x -rugs -. $1.85 per change
Fender Covers - $ .50 each
Roll Towels - $1.90 each
4. Each location and department will be invoiced separately. All in-
voices will be sent to the Finance Department, 320 E. McCarty Street, Jefferson
City, Missouri, 65101.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto set their hands and seals
on the day first above written.
