AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND * CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH LINSENBARDT
ELECTRIC MOTOR SERVICE FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE OF
ELECTRIC MOTORS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jefferson
are hereby authorized to execute a contract with Linsenbardt
Electric Motor Service for the maintenance and service of
electric motors .
Section 2. The contract shall be substantially the same in
form and content as that contract attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

ELECTRIC MOTOR SERVICE CONTRACT
This Contract is made and entered into this of
January, 1985, by and between the City of Jefferson, Missouri, a municipal
corporation, hereinafter referred to as "City", and Linsenbardt Electric
Motor Service, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor".
In consideration of the covenants and agreements hereinafter
set forth, it is agreed as follows:
1. This Contract will be in effect for one (1) full year from
January 7, 1985, to January 6, 1986. With mutual consent of both parties,
the Contract may be extended for two (2) additional one year periods.
2. The City will pay the following rates for labor for electric
motor repairs:
a. Straight time at $12.00 per hour in shop and
$18.00 per hour in field.
b. Overtime and Sundays and Hulidays at $18.75
_ per hour in shop and $25.00 per hour in gield.
The markup percentage shall be cost plus ten percent (10X) . All overtime
must be authorized by the division prior to repairs. If the total cost of
repairs represents seventy-five percent (75X) or more of the replacement cost
of the motor, the Contractor shall be obligated to inform the City. The City
shall decide whether to proceed with repairs or purchase a new motor.
3. Contractor will provide pickup and delivery service at no
additional charge. Where it is feasible the City will deliver the motor or
motors to the Contractor's dock with all explanation of repairs needed. Since
the repairs are usually of an emergency nature, Contractor must respond within
twenty-four (24) hour period. Repairs shall be completed within a forty-eight -
(48) hour period. Should a repair take longer, it shall 'be the Contractor's
responsibility to contact the using department of the problem. When necessary
the Contractor shall be. required .to make in field service repairs when it is
determined that the motor cannot leave the facility.
4. Contractor will provide motor repair service to all of the
approximately two hundred (200) electric motors in operation in the City govern-
ment, ranging in sizes from one-half horsepower to four hundred horsepower.
5. All repairs shall be guaranteed to be of the highest quality
and warranted for a period of one (1) year for both parts and labor. All work
shall be done to the motor manufacturer's specifications. In the event that
the repair services are found to be defective, the City reserves the right to
make the necessary changes or corrections and return defective parts to the

Contractor at the Contractor's expense. The cost of any changes or
corrections due to contractor's error, mistake, or oversight shall be charged
to the Contractor. If the Contractor fails to render prompt service,
the City may terminate the Contract, and will be liable only for those
services already authorized by the City.
6. Invoices shall be sent in triplicate to the Finance Department,
320 East McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, 65101. Each invoice must
show a description of the work done, purchase order number, labor time, list
price of materials and parts, with discount and markup percentage per the
contract, using division, location, motor brand name, RPM, HP, frame number
and any other information that is pertinent to each repair.
7. The Contractor shall furnish certificates of the type of insurance
indicated below. The City must be specifically named as an additional insured
under the policies for the purpose of this Contract.
Workmen's Compensation and Employer Liability - ($100,000 _
limit) - Statutory
General Liability
Bodily Injury $100,000 per person
$800,000 per occurrence
Property Damage $300,000 per occurrence

seals on the day first above written.
