ORDINANCE NO. 103 7 IV
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING THE
NAME OF A PORTION OF WALNUT STREET TO MISSOURI BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, the City Council. of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
adopted a Resolution on the 17th day of December, 1984 , declaring
it necessary to change the name of the public street known as
Walnut Street to Missouri Boulevard from the intersection of
Highway 50-63 northerly to the intersection of West Main Street;
and
WHEREAS, within four weeks from the day of the last publication
of said Resolution, a majority of the resident property owners
along that portion of the street did not file with the City Clerk
their written protest against such change of name; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has the power to change the name of
streets, in accordance with the Resolution referred to herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The name of the public street known as Walnut
Street is hereby changed to Missouri Boulevard from -the
intersection of Highway 50-63 northerly to the intersection of
West Main Street.
SECTION 2. Upon the passage and approval of this Ordinance,
the City Clerk shall file a certified copy thereof with the
Racorder of Deeds of Cole County, Missouri.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
