AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING THE
NAME OF A PORTION OF NORTH TEN MILE DRIVE TO WEST TRUMAN
BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
adopted a Resolution on the 17th day of December, 1984, declaring
it necessary to change the name of a portion of North Ten Mile
Drive to West Truman Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, within four weeks from the day of the last publication
of said Resolution, a majority of the resident property owners
along that portion of the street did not file with the City Clerk
their written protest against such change of name; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has the power to change the name of
streets, in accordance with the Resolution referred to herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TI•iE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The name of the public street known as North Ten
Mile Drive is hereby changed to West Truman Boulevard from the
intersection of North Ten Mile Drive and Rock Hill Road (Route
179 ) westerly to the intersection of Highway 50 West, except the
3200 through 3500 blocks of North Ten Mile Drive shall remain as
North Ten Mile Drive.
SECTION 2. Upon the passage and approval of this Ordinance,
the City Clerk shall file a certified copy thereof with the
Recorder of Deeds of Cole County, Missouri.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
