ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH COLE
COUNTY FOR PARKING SPACES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jefferson
are hereby authorized to execute a lease agreement with Cole
County for parking spaces for the sum of $1, 200.
Section 2. The agreement shall be substantially the same in
farm and content as the contract attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

LEASE
This Lease entered into this �� da y of
1985 by and between the City of Jefferson, Missouri, Lessor,
and the County of cote, State of Missouri, by and through its
agents, the Cole County Court , Lessee,
WITNESSETH: Lessor does hereby lease to Lessee and Lessee
hereby takes Ten ( 10 ) unspecified parking spaces on Lot No.
Sixteen ( 16 ) , located at 400 East High Street , Jefferson City,
Missouri, and shall have the right to use -the entranceways to the
parking lot in common with the other users of the lot .
SECTION ONE
TERM OF LEASE
The term of this Lease shall begin on February 1, 1985, at
6:00 A.M. and terminate on January 31, 1985, at 12:00 P.M.
SECTION TWO
RENT
Lessee shall pay as rental to Lessor the sum of one
thousand, two hundred dollars ( $1 , 200.00) which is ten dollars
($10.00 ) per space per month for ten ( 10 ) automobile parking
JP spaces . The sums are to be payable upon the standard terms used
by the parking division of Lessor.
SECTION THREE
LESSOR DUTIES
Lessor covenants to keep Lessee in quiet possession and
enjoyment of the parking lot during the term of this Lease.
Lessor convenants to provide all reasonable and necessary parking
lot maintenance including but not limited to snow removal,
painting of space markers, and the posting of information signs,
and Lessor also covenants and agrees to and regulations
pertaining to City-owned parking lots.
SECTION FOUR
PARKING PERMITS
Lessor covenants and agrees to provide all necessary permits
and any other necessary documentation to Lessee in order that
Lessee may have full use and enjoyment of its ten ( 10) parking
spaces .
SECTION SEVEN
SUBLEASE OR ASSIGNMENT
Lessee hereby covenants and agrees that, it shall not sublet
in whole or in part, nor assign or transfer, any interest it may
have in the lease hold without the prior written consent of the
Lessor.

I certify that there is a balance otherwise unencumbered to the
credit of the appropriation to which this order is chargeable,
and a cash balance otherwise unencumbered in the treasury each
