AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO, 9598 OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, THE ZONING
ORDINANCE, BY ENACTING A NEW SECTION 8.E. ( 13 ) RELATING TO
PROHIBITING PARKING, AFTER GIVING NOTICE, ON AREAS WHERE
IMPROVEMENTS DO NOT MEET MINIMUM OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS.
WHEREAS, IT APPEARS THAT THE PROCEDURES ,SET FORTH IN ORDINANCE
NO. 9598 RELATING TO ZONING HAVE IN ALL MATTERS BEEN COMPLIED
WITH.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 9598, enacted as Chapter 36, the Zoning
Ordinance, is hereby amended by adding a new Section 8.E. ( 13) to
read as follows:
( 13) The Director of Planning shall have the power
to prohibit parking on areas where the paving and
landscape improvements do not meet the minimum
improvement requirements which were in effect at the
time the improvements were installed.
Before prohibiting parking on any area, as
authorized by this sub-section and by sub-sections
8.E. (9 ) and 8.E. ( 11 ) , the Director of Planning shall,
by certified mail, notify the owner of the work which
must be accomplished to bring the area into compliance
with the minimum improvement standards for off-street
parking and that the owner has six months to bring the
area into compliance. If the area does not meet the
minimum standards at the end of the six month period,
the Director of Planning may prohibit parking on the
area.
SECTION 2, This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after it passage and approval.,
