ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON BY ADDING SECTION 2-417 PERTAINING
TO ATTENDANCE OF MEMBERS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . A new section of the Code of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, to be known as 2-417 is hereby enacted which
shall read as follows:
Section 2-417 . Attendance of Members of Boards and
Commissions Required.
All persons appointed to any board or commission of the city
shall attend at least two-thirds of the regularly scheduled
meetings of the board or commission upon which they serve.
Should any member of a board or commission fail to attend
two-thirds of the meetings occurring in any one year
measured from the time of their appointment, their position
on such board or commission shall be deemed vacant and a
replacement shall be named as provided. In computing
attendance, no allowances shall be made for any *excuses. The
standard shall be in absolute meetings held as a
denominator, meetings attended as the numerator.
Section 2 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
