ORDINANCE NO. 1 D�
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MISSOURI
DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE FOR THE COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT LOCAL AND
STATE SALES TAX.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jefferson
are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the
Missouri Department of Revenue for the collection of delinquent
local and state sales tax.
Section Z. The agreement shall be substantially the same in
form and content as the contract attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

STANDARD LOCAL GOVERNMENT COLLECTION AGREEMENT
The Missouri Department of Revenue and the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, as a result of this Agreement, hereby agree to join in
suit as party plaintiff against entities who become delinquent in
the payment of local sales tax which are required to be paid by
said entity under Chapter 66, 92 and 94 , RSMo. , and a payment of
state sales taxes which are required to be paid under Chapter
144, RSMo. As a result of this Agreement, the Department of
Revenue will forward to the proper county prosecuting attorney
the petition of certification which is used to file a lawsuit
against a taxpayer to recover local and state sales taxes. ,
