ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF -JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING THE
NAME OF MIMOSA LANE TO MARSHA LANE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
adopted a Resolution on the third day of June, 1985, declaring it
necessary to change the name of the public street known as Mimosa
Lane to Marsha Lane from the intersection of Bald Hill Road
easterly to the intersection of Nelson Drive; and
WHEREAS, within four weeks from the day of the last publication
of said Resolution, a majority of the resident property owners
along that portion of the street did not file with the City Clerk
their written protest against such change of name; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has the power to change the name of
streets , in accordance with the Resolution referred to herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The name of the public street known as Mimosa
Lane is hereby changed to Marsha Lane from the interseciton of
Bald Hill Road easterly to the intersection of Nelson Drive.
SECTION 2. Upon the passage and approval of this Ordinance,
the City Clerk shall file a certified copy thereof with the
Recorder of Deeds of Cole County, Missouri.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
