ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , ELECTING A FINAL
AVERAGE COMPENSATION PERIOD FOR ITS BENEFIT PROGRAM IN THE MISSOURI
LOCAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM FOR EMPLOYEES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Jefferson hereby elects to have future
retirement benefits calculated using a thirty-six ( 36) month final
average salary in accordance with the provisions of Section 70.656,
RSMo, as amended. The City Clerk shall certify this election to
the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System within
ten ( 10) days after this Ordinance has been passed and approved.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after November .1, 1985.
