ORDINANCE NO. 105- 77
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING THE
NAME OF OLD LOHMAN ROAD TO LEANDRA LANE, FROM THE INTERSECTION OF
SOUTH COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE, OLD LOHMAN ROAD AND LEANDRA LANE
NORTHWESTERLY TO TIE INTERSECTION OF (NEW) OLD LOHMAN ROAD AND
(OLD) OLD LOHMAN ROAD, WHICH IS SOME'T'IMES REFERRED TO AS LOHMAN
SPUR.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
adopted a Resolution on the second day of December, 1985,
declaring it necessary to change the name of the public street
known as Old Lohman Road to Leandra Lane from the intersection of
South Country Club Drive, Old Lohman Road and Leandra Lane
northwesterly to the intersection of (new) Old Lohman Road and
(old) Old Lohman Road which is sometimes referred to as Lohman
Spur; and
WHEREAS, within four weeks from the day of the last publication
of said Resolution, a majority of the resident property owners
along that portion of the street did not file with the City Clerk
their written protest against such change of name; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has the power to change the name of
streets, in accordance with the Resolution referred to herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. The name of the public street known as Old
Lohman Road is hereby changed to Leandra Lane from the
intersection of South Country Club Drive, Old Lohman Road and
Leandra Lane northwesterly to the intersection of (new) Old
Lohman Road and (old) Old Lohman Road, which is sometimes referred
to as Lohman Spur.
SECTION 2 . Upon the passage and approval of this ordinance,
the City Clerk shall file a certified copy thereof with the
Recorder of Deeds of Cole County, Missouri.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.

City give serious consideration to making this name change..
Additional confusion could result in the future if addresses
were assigned on (New) Old Lohman Road.
