AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF AMITY ROAD, FROM VILLAGE DRIVE NORTHERLY APPROXIMATELY 550 FEET TO DEAD END; FAIRLAND ROAD, FROM VILLAGE DRIVE TO MERRY LANE; AND VILLAGE DRIVE, FROM FAIRGROUNDS ROAD TO AMI'T'Y ROAD BY CURBING AND GUTTERING WITH PORTLAND CONCRETE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council passed and approved on December 16, 1985, its resolution finding and declaring the necessity of improving Amity Road, from Village Drive northerly approximately 550 feet to dead end; Fairland Road, from Village Drive to Merry Lane; Village Drive, from Fairgrounds Road to Amity Road in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, by curbing and guttering with Portland cement concrete. That resolution has been duly published according to law for seven (7) consecutive insertions, in the Post-Tribune, a daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri. No protest against the contemplated improvement has been filed with the City Clerk by a majority of the resident owners of property along said sections of the roadway liable for the costs of the improvement, and who own a majority of the front feet along the portion of the roadway to be improved. Section 2. The portion of roadway described in Section i shall be built in accordance with the plans and specifications submitted by the Director of Public Works and filed in the Office of the City Clerk. The cost of $4.00 per front foot for curb and gutter, and $5.00 per square yard for driveway approach shall be charged and levied as a special assessment against the . real estate abutting and fronting on the improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefore, as provided in Chapter 33 of the Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and the revised statutes of the State of Missouri. Section 3. The Director of Public Works is hereby instructed and authorized to advertise for bids for this improvement. Section 4.
