YCl h;_ _ T} '.f�.ii Joseph Sullivan, Chair called the meeting to order at approximately 4:20 pm. There were 4 out of 7 attendees which enabled a quorum for voting. It was noted that we review the terms of our committee members to see if any require renewal. Susan's term ends in June of 2023. Joe said that he spoke with REC department that most folks are busy with Sea Camps meetings and they were not able to support a location or attendees to assist for the Bike event as was done last year. Instead it was suggested that we have a roadside event near the Nickerson parking lot to facilitate attendance for bike safety and have a table for information. John offered his expertise In assisting folks with bike maintenance for a quick checkup. This will be the weekend before Memorial Day. There was some concern raised about how to adhere to the new MGL regarding the 4 foot passing requirement in towns like ours. This includes all mobile roadusers. More to come on that. I Joe noted that May. is Bay State Bike Month, and that he would submit a 2023 proclamation to the Select Board for approval. Joe provided some information on the League of American Bicyclists and discussed whether or not we want to seek their designation for a bike friendly town. He handled out the pamphlet so we could look at their requirements. We will discuss more of how to achieve this at upcoming meetings. Joe indicated that the website for the Town had updated and asked Roland to have the Bicycl&eway-s and Pedestrian Committee section to be updated to reflect the new name of the committee. Joe also noted that prior mi.nutes that had been submitted do not appear to have been uploaded. I It was decided tha twe would have a table at Conservation Day in July and that several of us could be there. r The next meeting will be in May — second Thursday of the month. Joe will send out a notice. The meeting was adjourned at 5:45p.m.
