AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING
ORDINANCE 10282 BY AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH CH2M
HILL, INC. FOR THE WASTEWATER FACILITIES MASTER PLAN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute a professional services contract amendment
to increase the 'contract amount with CH 2M Hill, Inc. for the
Wastewater Facilities Master Plan from the sum of $204,000 to
$254,000.
Section 2. This amendment shall be substantially the same
in form and content as that amendment attached hereto.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT AMENDMENT
46 This Agreement is made and entered into this !C>E day of
�� , 1986, by and between the City of Jefferson,
Mis ours (CITY) , and CH2M HILL, INC. (CONSULTANT) , as an
amendment to the agreement between the parties authorized by
Ordinance 10282 dated September 26, 1984.
WHEREAS, the CITY contracted with CONSULTANT to complete a
WASTEWATER FACILITIES MASTER PLAN, and
WHEREAS , the nature of this type of work is difficult to
accurately define prior to its undertaking, and
WHEREAS , the CONSULTANT incurred additional and
unpredictable expense in an effort to provide the CITY with a
suitable plan for its wastewater facilities expansion.
NOW, THEREFORE, the CITY and CONSULTANT agree as follows:
Section 1. The CITY shall pay the CONSULTANT an additional
$50,000.00 over and above the original contract amount of
$204,000 for a total of $254, 000.
Section 2. The increase in payment can be attributed to the
following summary of changes in the "SCOPE OF SERVICES".
A. The CONSULTANT was required to model and evaluate 19
AMk drainage basins rather than the originally anticipated

B. The CONSULTANT was required to field inspect more of
the collection system than anticipated due to
inadequate mapping.
C. The CONSULTANT was required to monitor the additional
drainage basins for inflow/infiltration.
D. The CONSULTANT was required to monitor and balance
flows in the system in addition to work originally
planned due to inability to monitor flows at the Walnut
Street Station.
Section 3. The CONSULTANT shall deliver the completed study
per the original agreement and this amendment without additional
expense to the CITY.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto set their
hands and seals the day of , 1986.
